Attack spell is the magical pursuit of a person. This is done by using magic formulas such as those found in the 6th/7th books of Moses, or with the help of black magicians, sorcerers or witches. The persecuted person is repeatedly attacked at night, for example by invisible forces. Bloody wounds are sometimes visible.
Symbolic magic is practised in the Macumba cult in Brazil and the Voodoo cult in Haiti. If a black magician wishes to harm or sicken a person, he will place a figure or doll covered in blood outside the victim’s door. He will have previously pricked the doll with thorns or a needle, using magical formulae. The strange thing is that the victim falls ill where the doll was pierced.
Examples:
A missionary told Dr. Kurt E. Koch the following experience. In Nigeria, there is a so-called cobra cult. People who join the Cobra Cult have to sign their souls over to the devil. As a reward, they are given power over cobras. The cobras obey the cult members. On one occasion, a sorcerer, who was my informant’s bitterest enemy, sent a cobra to this missionary to kill him. Realising the danger, the missionary placed himself under the protection of Jesus and commanded the snake in the name of the Lord. The snake was unable to harm him. Ex 198 A man who had the the 6th and 7th Books of Moses learned from them how to practise black magic. He memorised the spells that would harm his enemies. He tried them out and was surprised to find that they worked. He focused on one opponent at midnight. He would take a rag doll, stick several needles in it, name his enemies and then add a spell the 6th and 7th Books of Moses 7th Book of Moses. He was surprised when his enemy became seriously ill.
