There are spiritistic mediums who have the ability to send their soul out of the body to explore hidden things. This is therefore a spiritistic form of clairvoyance.

The Anglican Priest and excursion of the soul

Kurt E. Koch writes: “In London I gave a talk in All Saints Hall. Many Anglican priests were present. After the talk there was a discussion. One Anglican priest explained that he had the ability to detach his soul from his body and send it off to explore hidden things. This state of separation would happen without his will. He said he was like the Apostle Paul who said in 2 Corinthians 12:3, “I do not know whether I was in the body or out of the body”. The pastor went on to say that he could only stop this process by visualising the cross of Jesus Christ. He regarded this ability as a gift from God. He also had the gift of second sight. I drew the pastor’s attention to the fact that I had observed the transmigration of souls in a spiritistic family. Usually the parents or grandparents had been spiritists when such abilities appeared in their grandchildren. The priest denied it. Suddenly I had an ally. A man I didn’t know stood up in the back row. He said, “I had the same ability, but I was set free by Christ. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord Jesus will be saved. A day or two later, this Anglican priest called me and asked if I had time for him. I replied: “I don’t have time for a discussion, but I have time for a pastoral conversation. He replied: “That’s what I need.” With his permission, I am allowed to publish the confessional conversation without mentioning his name. He confessed that he had indeed been involved with spiritists. He broke away, accepted Jesus and invited me to speak at his church. His church was packed (source: “Occult ABC”, Dr Kurt E. Koch).
